Facebook madness

I have started using this networking site called facebook...and when I started, I never really understood the point of sharing things with whole world in this world wide web....I dint knew how and why I was supposed to connect to people.... I also used to receive so any invitations to join the network... so I jst started off... I was wondering that no one really reads the updates unless interested... Then there are few ppl who "like" and "comment" on each and every status update.... and hope that you will comment back or like their pic or updates... It really gets silly some times....and now, everyone is doing it...also I understand that ppl use this network to either show-off the things happening in life or to show interest in other's life... slowly this becomes an addiction... I have also started playing games on facebook... then started sharing blogs and videos on fb... latest obsession I also had was this game called farmville...In fact there was no real reason for this facebook madness....

I have also realised that we should always be aware of the power of words... or rather posts or status updates on fb.... what we say can affect ppl...well, there are things which are silly... but there are times when frustrations are shared... !*!Sigh!*! ... Yes, It's sometimes difficult to avoid being frustrated but the world probably don't need to know...!!! It just seems silly but I am starting to recognize that there's something alarmingly habitual about updating everything in our lives on fb...Sometimes ppl update without even really thinking about any kind of result...There are ppl who shoff of their personal life and I wonder why do they really want others to know?

Its also useful in many ways... it connects you to your old frnds... Updates on events happening around.. and few such goodies! :)

Well, I just want to say that from now on, update intentionally...

Its actually Crazy!! And Iam trying to avoid the un-necessary~....

PS: Wondering if I should share this on fb?.. :) LOL..!!

Tying the knot...

"The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD."
Proverbs 16:33 (BIBLE, NIV)

Everyone loves a good love story. Throughout the ages, tales of lovers have been handed down from generation to generation, eagerly received with excitement and fascination. However, the greatest love stories are those, where God perfectly handled the events and circumstances in two people’s lives to bring them together.

As we look back on our lives up to this point, we are amazed at how perfectly God works. Though sometimes, things happen in our lives that don’t make sense, we can always look back later and see that God knew what He was doing all along. We hope that you will be blessed by reading our story. Our desire is that our relationship be a testimony to Jesus. He is truly able to do “exceedingly abundant" and "Above all that we could ever ask or think of.” To God be the Glory for the great things he has done.

I have met Sumeet in Bangalore. We know each other since two years. These were the days in my life, or rather I can say a age in which all my beloved ones were going through troubles in their married life. I completely had a different view about marriage which had been developed because of few people and also because of few circumstances. The fear of seeing broken relationships among my contemporaries made the thought of marriage more difficult. I used to wonder why people make a big deal about getting married. The comments, sms jokes about marriage and about husbands and wives...and its always negative that the very concept of marriage was redefined. I have developed a feeling that marriages are tough and I was afraid to get married to any person.... and I was afraid of what the kind of a person I would get??... what kind of a family do I get into??

Whenever my parents talked about my wedding... I had many questions.... Does God have a specific will concerning whom I should marry?? If yes, how do I find that out?? Does God over-write my choice in any case??? Why should I be responsible if it does not work out??? Does it matter at all??? I feared I would go out of the will of God.

During this time I came to know my LORD personally. Though I am born and brought up in a Christian family, I have never had a personal relationship with Christ. I got new Church, new fellowship... It is not that no one told me about God's love before, but the word of the LORD came powerfully to me and LORD opened my eyes and I have been spiritually born again and washed in His blood.

Praise God...!! Holy Spirit is a wonderful counselor and God really speaks. This was the time I heard the word of God everywhere about marriages.... relationships... God's opinion on marriage... how to know His will... Yes! It was a wonderful journey...!!! journey of Guidance and a journey of wonderful conversations with God...

Off-course, God dint show me his name.... like "thou shall marry Sumeet..." Hahahaha... But Yes! God used people either in church... or at home.... or within my friends... or through a message on TV... or through my personal devotion... or through a song...., and through many circumstances.... He answered all my questions in some or the other way. Thanks to God..... & Praise be to HIM alone.

When I met Sumeet, I have learnt lot of things from him. Sumeet encouraged me in the LORD and he also told me about what marriage is in sight of the LORD.

I have always admired how he encouraged me in the LORD. Yea!! I was impressed by the way LORD was leading me. I have become more close to Christ and everything around me changed. My mind transformed... my interests changed... my priorities changed...my way of thinking changed... my life has changed...

In this changed life, indeed a person who understood this change in me was Sumeet and still we were not ready and neither were my parents to make as big of a decision as one concerning marriage, and we didn’t know what else to do but we made a choice to surrender the relationship to God, and trust Him with the outcome. He would have to write our love story. Later we accepted each other... not because we are prefect but because our source of strength was same, our Christ. This was easy for me and for Sumeet. We both were firmly convinced that God was leading us together, and with the blessing of our parents, we were engaged on Sept 11th 2010 and thats how we continued our courtship.

The question is not about where and how we met... but it is about are we willing to glorify our CHRIST with this union!!!

Looking back on the way God has worked in our lives, we are reminded of how we are like small beings. Events in our lives don’t always make sense right as they are happening. We may get confused because circumstances seem unfair, difficult, or just don’t make sense. But when we step back and look at the entire picture, we cannot help but stand in amazement at how God has woven the threads of our lives together into a beautiful tapestry for His glory.

Because God has been faithful in the past, we gladly trust Him with our future. And for now, we are elated to live in the love story that God has written for us.

We got married on Dec 22nd 2010.

Had your Lunch????

Have you ever been in a postion where you have sacrificed something to do something for others and they have rejected it???... or they have used it in a wrong way... ??

well, I would like to compar this to some instances....

Our parents: Mamma coooks lunch... She takes so much pain to cook everything... planning what all dishes u might want to eat for lunch... and she packs it for her children. Maybe she actually dint wanted to cook that day, because she was just so tired to stand so long in the kitchen... But the child enjoyes in his/her school/college so much and wants to be one among those friends who always eat outside... and doest finish the lunch box... or may be gives the lunch box to others without eating it herself/himself so that mom will not be hurted... or may be throws the food while returning home...!! okey wht would happen next? After coming home children tries to explain it to mom.. and our moms accept it with so much love ... but yes, somewhere down in her heart she always WISHED and WANTED that you eat the lunch box which she made... because there was a purpose for making the lunch...and that lunch box could save u from many things which can go worse if u continue not eating it... And also she would never stop making lunch for you again, just because u dint eat it once or twice or maybe always!.

Couples: Couples might have to compromise on so many things and do things for their better half but at the end... maybe the husband or wife is so tired to listen to you... or tired to spend time with you... or doesnt want to eat the food that you have cooked... anything... we can very relate this scenario...But we dont stop doin it for our better halfs because we love them so much... and we are quick to forgive.

Now let me take you to one superior fact that happend in History.
A person has done something for our souls...!!
He was sacrificed instead of us...!!
He was hung because of us...!!
For our curses...!!
For our sickness...!!
For delivering us from addictions..!!

For redeeming us from the clutches of the evil one..!!
For our Joy!....
For our Souls!...
Because He was and is HOLY...
Because He loved us...

Yes. Read Matthew 26 from Vs 36 to know what Christ has gone through so that He can be sacrificed.

Gethsemane (Matthew 16)
36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”

37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.
38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”
39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”
43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy.

44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

Did u notice these points in this passage:
- He was "overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death"
- He prayed three times the same prayer....
- He fell with his face to the ground and prayed...
- He says "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak"...

Oh man! can you even imaging how much pain He had!!!... ????
Well, He has done so much for you and me.... and just like the child who dint eat the tiffen box, just like the better half who dint care... just like the supervisor who sometimes dont take wht his sub-ordinate has done, we all dont accept what Christ has done!...
We also tell him... Lord we are like this... we also find excuses like the little child who brings back the lunch box... Yes some times, we say Lord I am like this... Iam sorry...Help me not to do this again!... And the LORD accepts us!
And Inspite of all that, He knows how we are... but still He died while we were still sinners... because HE loved us more than the mother who cooked luch... more than the better half who sacrificed... more than the sub-ordinate who sacrified!...

Most important thing is the point I am trying to make is not being emotional about Lord's sacrificed...BUT Iam proud of it!! Yes, and I want to receive ALL of it... Receive Joy of salvation... Receive His healing... Be redeemed from the clutches of the evil one... Be delivered from addictions... Be blessed beyond all curses...!! Do You also want to be one??? So, accept Him and His Bloood and by faith you are saved, you are redeemed, you are delivered, you are blessed!.. Because that is when the purpose is fullfilled...
Unless the child eats the tiffen box, the mamma's purpose of cooking the lunch is not fullfilled!

Here is something which explains about the blood of Christ:
Blood of Christ: (Hebrews 9)
11 But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation.
12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.
13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.
14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
16 In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it,

17 because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living.
18 This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.
19 When Moses had proclaimed every command of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people.
20 He said, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”
21 In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies.
22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23 It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.
25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,
28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ (Romans 6)
1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?
2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.

6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.
10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.
13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
Slaves to Righteousness: (Romans6)

15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.
18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.
20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!
22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
